Betta Breeding
I am no expert. I will reference you to other sites if you wish to breed your bettas. The best experience I have is trial and error.
For Breeding:
- Both fish must be similar in size
- Both fish need to be over twenty weeks old
- Both fish need to be fed foods high in protein and/or live foods
- The temperature range needs to be 80 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit
- The fry will hatch 2 to 3 days after mating
- The female juveniles can live in a community tank, except for the particularly aggressive ones.
- Male juveniles must be housed separately at 5 to 8 weeks.
- After three weeks, do a 15 % water change and do it again every two weeks after that.
